In ancient Chinese legends, the moon goddess Chang' E (pronounced chang-uh) lives on the moon with her Jade Rabbit. Some say that Chang' E stole her husband's elixir of immortality because she didnt want to suffer in the mortal world, but others say that Chang' E swallowed the medicine to keep it from falling into the wrong hands… in any case, Chang' E ate the Immortal medicine and flew to the moon. She lives in the lunar palace called Guanghan, which is a vast and cold place.
